This policy explains what personal information BIGGS INC. ("BIGGS", "we") collects through this website, why we collect it, who sees it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it under Republic Act No. 10173, the Data Privacy Act of 2012.

Who we are

This website is operated by BIGGS INC., Zone 2 E Fausto Drive, San Felipe Naga City, Camarines Sur 4400 - Philippines. Our Data Protection Officer and data processing systems are registered with the National Privacy Commission. For any question or request about your personal information, email letusknow@biggs.ph.

What we collect, and why

When you visit the website

The first page you open in a visit records:

• your IP address, and the city and country it belongs to;
• your browser and device type;
• the page that linked you here, if any;
• the date and time of the visit, and whether you have visited before.

We use this to count visits and understand where our visitors come from. To find the city and country, your IP address is sent to ipinfo.io, a location lookup service.

Website analytics

We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand how the website is used, such as which pages are visited. Google sets its own cookies for this and processes the data under its own privacy policy.

When you use the chat assistant

• Your questions and its replies are recorded so we can see what it could not answer and improve it. Each conversation is linked only by a one-way code made from your browser session — not your IP address, and not something that can be traced back to you. These records are deleted automatically after 90 days, except questions our team marks to keep for review.
• The conversation is also saved in your own browser, so it is still there when you move between pages. Clearing your browser's data for this site removes it.
• If you leave your details — your name, your email address or mobile number, and anything you add — they are saved together with the question you asked and the conversation before it, and emailed to the BIGGS team that handles that subject, so they can reply to you.

When you send feedback

Your full name, contact number, email address, address, the branch concerned, your message and any photo you attach. We use these to look into your feedback and reply to you.

When you apply for a job

Your name, email address, contact number, address, date of birth, preferred location, availability, expected salary, education, course, work experience, last employer, how you heard about the opening, your message, your resume and any other documents you upload. We use these to assess your application and contact you about it. As set out in the Data Privacy Agreement you accept on the application form, we may also verify your information for background checks with your previous employers, schools, references and government agencies such as the NBI. We record the date and time you gave that consent.

When you enquire about a franchise

Your name, contact number, the best time to call you, email address, occupation, business experience, available capital, and the area and type of store you are interested in. We use these to assess your enquiry and contact you about it.

When you join a promo or raffle

Your name, contact number, email address, address, the branch and date of your purchase, your receipt number and a photo of your receipt. We use these to validate your entry, run the draw, and contact you if you win. Entry confirmations and winner notices are emailed to you through our promotions system.

When you rate a blog article

Whether you found it helpful and, only if you choose to add them, a message and your email address. We use these to improve our articles.

Cookies and browser storage

• A session cookie, which keeps the website working as you move between pages. It ends when you close your browser.
• A visit cookie, kept for 30 days, which tells us whether you have visited before.
• Google Analytics cookies, described above.
• The chat assistant's saved conversation, kept in your browser's storage until you clear it.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. Parts of the website, such as forms, may not work properly without the session cookie.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

• with the BIGGS staff who need it for the purpose you gave it for;
• with the service providers that run parts of this website for us: our web hosting provider, Google (analytics), ipinfo.io (location lookup) and the email systems that deliver our messages;
• for job applications, with the parties named in the background check you consented to;
• when the law requires it.

Links on this website to other sites — FoodPanda, Google Maps, our social media pages — take you to services with their own privacy policies.

How long we keep it

Chat assistant records are deleted after 90 days, as described above. Everything else is kept only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected for, and for any period the law requires.

How we protect it

We use organisational, physical and technical measures to keep your personal information secure, including encrypted connections to this website and access limited to authorised staff. No system is completely secure; if we learn of a breach affecting you, we will act on it as the Data Privacy Act requires.

Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 you have the right to:

• be informed about how your personal information is collected and used;
• access the personal information we hold about you;
• object to its processing;
• have it corrected if it is inaccurate;
• have it erased or blocked;
• obtain a copy of it in a commonly used format;
• be compensated for damages caused by inaccurate, unlawfully obtained or misused information;
• file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when the way we handle personal information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
